It makes a difference.
Breathing is easy, is natural, is simple. It's what you do to stay alive. Remembering to breathe, making a conscious effort to do so, is not so much the same. It's what you do to keep on living.
It is easy to let a single bad thing in an entire day to utterly ruin it. To be so consumed in it, to drown in it, then rope in all the other undesirable, unhappy and stressful thoughts that you ever had to add to it, ultimately being so caught up in everything that you can't help but to break down. It is vicious and soul destroying.
So don't.
Look at that bad thing that happened, wag your finger at it, think of how to deal then compartmentalize it. Don't let it contaminate your day, your lovely thoughts or undermine all the good things that took place and the progress you've made. Because its not worth it. Always keep cool and
Breathe.
Everything will turn out fine if only you would give it a chance to. So think good (:
