Facts of the day
1. When you are pregnant and experience cramps in your legs, do not rub them or you might develop varicose veins! Shudders. Flex feet instead. Hm. I'm sure this will come in handy someday.
2. Leaves can trick you into staring at them in wonderment as they fall from heights very much greater than the highest tree around.
Until you realize the wind is coaxing them off plants on a high-rise apartment balcony.
3. Your hometown CAN be the neighbourhood that you grew up in (aka Yishun for me) and not necessarily an entire country or state. People might laugh. But you might also box their ears.
There! 3 facts of the day which I admit are rather random and useless (except for the first one!)
And I must say, going back to Yishun really did have an odd effect on me. Just pounding the pavements I must have pounded a million times, and passing by mama shops I must bought a million sweets from and finding out the clinic I had visited as a wee kid with the kindest and most patient doctor ever was still next to the Econ minimart, the only 2 shop spaces that remained the same, moved me. I was transported back to much simpler times where the most dire worry I had was finishing my homework fast enough to go play. Wait, actually... HAHA.
I love that place.
